Mr. Honzik has 39 years of continuous aviation employment of which the last 32 years have been in major FAA Certification efforts. Bob is also the creator of The Drake Group’s series of aviation seminars. He is a BS technical graduate of Purdue University and has an MBA from Nevada University-Reno. Stephen Bowyer -- ThistleGreen TechnologiesSteve Bowyer is a structures DER with a diverse technical background. His FAA delegation includes FAR 23 & 25 airplanes, with special designation for repairs & alterations. His experience includes OEM and airline structural repair design, military modification design, corporate jet structural mods, avionics installations, test rig design and corporate interiors installations. Steve has a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is also a SMELS pilot. Donald Bruss (In Memory)- -- D. Bruss & AssociatesFor those aviation friends who may not have known, Don Bruss past away in December 2000 from complications during an operation. Don Bruss had a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and has 48 years experience in aircraft engineering at 5 major airframe manufacturers and his consultant engineering firm. His activities, that were predominantly in landing gear, include over 70 aircraft landing gear, wheels, brakes, tires, and or skid control projects, covered by FAR Part 23, Part 25, US Air Force or Navy requirements. He had been a member of the SAE A-5 Aerospace Landing Gear Systems Committee since 1956 (chairman 1966-1977) and had been an FAA Consultant DER in Structures since 1964 for landing gears, wheels, brakes, tires and skid control. Don and his consultant firm performed landing gear configuraiton studies, preliminary designs, detail production designs, analytical drop test reports, landing and ground handling loads reports, proposal and procurement specs, drop test proposals, drop test reports, and aircraft tire flotation analysis. Dennis Newton -- Dennis Newton ConsultingDennis Newton provides 34 years of industry and FAA experience in flight
test related matters for clients involved in development and certification
projects for light twins, turbo props and jet transports. Dennis is Also an FAA DER Flight Test Pilot with authorization for FAR 25, FAR 23 and CAR 3 airplanes. He holds Airline Transport Pilot type ratings in seven jet and four turboprop airplanes, and is instructor-rated in single- and multi-engine airplanes and gliders. He has been intimately involved in the design, development and certification of both general aviation and transport airplanes since 1969. He has done airline crew training and flown as a training captain in line operations with several foreign airlines. Although his particular specialties are icing development and certification and autoflight and avionics integration, he also has engineering and flight test experience in aerodynamics, performance, and stability and control. Dennis Newton holds a B.S. in Engineering and an M.S. in Meteorology from Penn State, and is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, A Centennial Fellow of the Penn State College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, and a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots. Darrel Noland -- Darrel Noland ConsultingDarrel Noland is a DER for Mechanical Systems and Equipment for FAR Part 25 aircraft. He has been involved in the design and installation of water, oxygen, air distribution, hydraulic, and interior completion items. Jack Sledge -- Alamo Aerospace, LLCJack Sledge is a DER for propulsion systems (reciprocating engines); flight analyst and acoustics. He has over 15 years experience in the installation of reciprocating engines in CAR 3 and FAR 23 aircraft as well as program management of aircraft certification projects. Jack’s company can provide compliance checklists, drawing review and approval, test plans, test witnessing and final reports. He routinely conducts FAR 36 acoustical tests on propeller-driven aircraft and also conducts analyses to show “no acoustical change”.
